Congratulations St. Colman's! WE DID IT! St Colman's have officially been awarded our Eco Flag from Eco Schools NI. We couldn't be happier and would like to thank all our amazing Eco Council members. Well done everyone!

This week our Eco- Council helped out with the Gardening Club!

Today we had a school council meeting to revisit our food waste policies. The children discussed their different roles and jobs for break and lunch time to help monitor and reduce the amount of food waste within our school (04/04/19)

Our P7’s were very lucky to have a visit from Electro Funk Junk today (03/04/19). The children had the opportunity to interact with recycled materials to create musical instruments.

Our school has entered a competition to help produce innovative ideas to eliminate single use plastics within our school. St Colman's will be submitting a rap video that Mr Crouch’s class created to highlight the dangers of plastic pollution. We hope you enjoy!

Northern Ireland Water

We are very happy to announce that our school council have been working with Northern Ireland    Water to help reduce the amount of single use plastic bottles that are used in our school.

NI Water have very kindly donated a “Free Refill, Clean The Sea” water bottle for every child that attends St Colman's Primary School. The water bottles will be given out when they arrive at our school.

We would like to give you a closer look at our outdoor classroom. We love using our outdoor classroom and polytunnel to extend our learning experience.

Our school council members are fantastic at emptying our plastic bottle bins! These bottles are then recycled to help decorate our school grounds.

St Colman's have had yet another successful year working with Cash For Clobber. We helped raise £200 for our school. The school council want to say a massive thank you to all who donated their old and unwanted clothes.
