After our Leavers' Assembly we had a great time outside in the sunshine with all of our friends. Thanks to Angela & the kitchen staff for our lovely meal.
As our St. Colman's Rap said,
'Goodbye St. Colman’s it was so much fun
But now a new chapter has begun……'

P7 Trip to Castlewellan
We had a great time at Castlewellan Forest Park taking part in canoeing, archery & climbing.
Buddy Bear had a fun day too!
Read All About It!
We worked as a group to produce our own school newspapers. They were full of fascinating articles about life at St. Colman's, including sport, 'Mary Poppins' and own designs for a new PE Kit to name but a few. There were even interviews with Mr. Baine & Brenda that helped to produce Front Page headlines! Well done everybody in meeting the deadline.
P1 & P.7 buddy trip!
P.7 did a fantastic job looking after their P.1 buddies at Wallace park. Everyone had great fun and the P.7's helped their buddies stay safe along the road and on the train. Well done P.7!!!
World Book Day Poems
We love our new reusable water bottles!
Plastic Waste in Schools Competition

Welcome to Primary 6
Shared Education Activity Day
We ended our Shared Education Programme for P6 by meeting up with our friends from Dunmurry & Seymour Hill for a Fun Day of activities at Belvoir Park. Mr. Deery's class joined us too! As you can see, we had a great day.
Clay Oak Leaves
We worked with Eleanor to produce our clay oak leaves. They will become part of a large display in the entrance hall to mark the 50th Anniversary of St. Colman's.
We had a great day finding out about life in Viking Times. We dressed up, played board games, made bracelets, constructed a long house wall, carried chain-mail armour, ground grain, tried to make sparks, researched Viking artefacts and wrote in Viking runes. We learnt how to defend ourselves with a sword and following a tough competition, Ethan was victorious and became our Captain!
Back in time to the 1970s
See how 'hip' & 'groovy' we are!
St. Colman's in the 70s
Peter Ferrie, a member of the school's Board of Governors (and Niamh's Grandad) spoke to us today about the school in the 1970s. We found out that the school almost closed in 1978 because there were so few children applying for P1! Thankfully, a late rush of applications meant that it didn't happen.
Peter also answered our questions on life in the 70s. He told us about Pope John Paul II's visit to Ireland in 1979 and how the Pope always kissed the ground when he got off his plane.
Thank you Peter for coming to speak to us today and for your continued hard work on behalf of St. Colman's.
A big thank you to everyone who has sent in photographs and items from the 1970s. They have really brought our 70s displays to life.
We enjoyed listening to 70s pop music on Meg's Mummy's record player!
Shared Education - Day 2
We had fun on the second day of our Shared Education programme. This time we were at St. Colman's, planning together before making 'IMovies' on healthy living scenarios. Some of the acting and directing had real 'Oscar' winning potential!!!
We had fun in the snow.
We enjoyed our 1st Day meeting up with our friends at Dunmurry and Seymour Hill finding out about 'Healthy Lifestyles'
We have been using and ordering Big Numbers.
We have been playing a dice game to make the biggest possible Big Number.
Can you tell who is winning?
