We have all missed our birthdays because of lockdown and we haven’t been able to celebrate with all our friends, so today we had a special birthday party for everyone! We had lots of yummy treats, watched a movie, played outside and Miss Haughey even made us a birthday cake! It was a great day ☺️

We have been doing lots of carousels in class to help us with our learning. We completed lots of activities on place value in 4 digit numbers. We had lots of fun!
We had a very exciting visit from Alan and all his 'Wee Critters'. We have been learning all about animals in class and we loved getting to see all of the amazing creatures :)
Ditch the Dark Day! We dressed up in really bright clothes to make sure that we can be seen when walking to school in the dark mornings and evenings. :)
We have been working hard since the start of term and have been learning all about animals. We have been working on animal habitats and created our own habitat for an animal. We worked in groups to create a stable home for our animal, ensuring that is was rainproof and wimdproof. We spent three days designing and creating the habitat and then we tested them out. We investigated how strong each habitat was using a spray bottle and a hairdryer for the wind and rain. We also had to make sure that this was a fair test. Some great scientific skills shown by our P5 class!
