Returning To School - Class Entrance & Exit

P2 Ms Hannaway and Ms Phoenix's class' are super Eco warriors! We are learning all about Climate Action and how to Save our World! Our teachers are so so proud of us!!! We are even keeping our mums and dads in check with recycling and saving energy at home!

This has been a very exciting week in P2 as a Magic Suitcase arrived in our classroom and left us clues and a mystery solve! We are trying to look carefully at the evidence and are learning to develop our observation and thinking skills by showing evidence why we think something!

P2 loved exploring how to make bar charts! We carried out a Tally Survey and made barcharts out of multi-link as well as on paper! Ms Phoenix was very impressed!

Today we had two very special visitors in our class Zara's mummy and new baby brother Conor! We loved asking Zara's mum questions about baby Conor and then we sang Conor 2 songs from our nativity play. Zara's mum also read us a Christmas story! Little Conor was looking very festive in his Santa hat!! Well Done to Zara for being such a fab big sister and well done to Callum in P4 for being such a super big brother!!!

P2 had a great morning with Sentinus developing our STEM skills. Our challenge was to use our thinking skills to help the 3 Little Pigs build strong houses that the Big Bad Wolf could not blow down! We did a super job and Ms Phoenix & Miss McCullagh was very proud of us!!!

Sustrans came in to help us to learn about staying safe on the roads as part of our 'Ditch the Dark Day!' Look how bright and colourful we all look! A big thanks to Claire Lundy for coming in to support this very important initiative!!

Today is also Katie's Birthday-what a fun day to have your birthday!

We had a brilliant morning learning about Animal Homes in our polytunnel with Science Starz. We even got to meet a hedgehog, a snake, a tarantula and a Spectacle Owl!

We loved making a Gingerbread house with Mrs McCabe during structured play! We have been learning all about Hansel and Gretel as part of our Houses and Homes topic! Everyone helped to make the Gingerbread house and it was really yummy to eat!!!
