World Book Day!! We had a fantastic day dressing up and sharing our favourite stories with our friends. Everyone picked fantastic adjective! The primary 7's also came to visit and read stories to us, it was great fun 😊📚Thank you to everyone who sent books in for our book swap too!

Adventures of Buddy Bear! Buddy got a new car the weekend, he looks very cool especially with his new glasses!! Of course he made sure he didn't miss an important birthday party 🎉

Adventures of Buddy Bear! Buddy had a very sporty weekend at swimming and football. He definitely needed a nice treat after 😋

The adventures of Buddy Bear - Buddy had a fantastic time visiting global adventures indoor fun place and loved wearing his Everton kit!!

P.1 are working on rhyming words and using our sounds to write simple words independently.

P.1 carried out an experiment this week. We froze 4 Teddy bears and then placed them in different places inside and outside to see which would melt the quickest. The Teddy that was outside on the ground melted the quickest!!

The adventures of Buddy Bear - Buddy had a busy time at gymnastics and Gaelic training this weekend, he even met some of his friends from school!

The adventures of Buddy Bear - Buddy had hurling training this weekend and loved watching the big boys at their basketball match. He even went to hear Miss McAreavey and her friends singing at mass! 🎶

The adventures of Buddy Bear - Buddy had a very busy Christmas with Miss McAreavey. He had a well deserved spa day and of course ate far too much at Christmas.

The adventures of Buddy Bear - Buddy was off on his adventures again with more Christmas fun! He did lots of bouncing at airtastic and bought some Christmas presents at Belfast continental market. Buddy Bear even met Miss McAreaveys favourite music teacher 🙂🎶

Christmas dinner & jumper day! We had a lovely day having Christmas dinner together and raising lots of money for The Simon Community. Thanks to everyone who donated🎅🏼🎄

We have been learning how to wrap a Christmas present 🎁 we worked together to wrap a special present for Miss O'Prey!

The adventures of Buddy Bear - Buddy Bear is really getting into the Christmas spirit! He got to see Santa and had a visit from Buddy the elf at the weekend, he even had time to go to another birthday party and see the lovely Christmas lights in Lisburn. Lucky Buddy Bear 🎄🎅🏼

P.1 had a super day wearing their dressing gowns and slippers in school as part of our day and night topic. We enjoyed sharing our favourite stories with our friends and even watch a Christmas film too. We wish every day was like this!!

The adventures of Buddy Bear - Buddy was off on a little Christmas holiday at Centre Parcs. He had a fantastic time swimming, cycling and celebrating an important birthday!!

The adventures of Buddy Bear. This week Buddy Bear went to play at his favourite park and got a new outfit which we love!! He also got to snuggle up for a movie night which was great fun😊

Primary one are getting ready for Halloween. We had great fun carving pumpkins 🎃 and even made a witches spell to make teachers disappear 😱

The adventures of Buddy Bear. Buddy had a super weekend getting ready for Halloween and exploring the park in autumn. 🍂 Buddy Bear really loved staying in the top bunk!!

This week is maths week! We went on a shape hunt to see if we could find shapes around the playground. We found lots of squares, rectangles, circles and triangles, everywhere we look we could see different shapes.

During circle time we have been discussing what makes a good friend. We worked together to sort the pictures into sets showing times we are good friends and times we are not good friends. In class we are going to try hard to be a good friend and have kind hands.

The adventures of Buddy Bear!! He had a brilliant time relaxing for the weekend.

We have been looking out for signs of Autumn around our school. It was a lovely sunny day when we went on our autumn walk, so sunny that we couldn't keep our eyes open for our photo!

For our table top activities this week we are colouring green and using hairy letters and BlobbleWriteHD apps to practice writing our new letter s. We are also cutting and sticking pictures for s and not s.

We are learning to thread and lace.

We had our class photo taken for the Andersonstown news. Look out for us over the next few weeks ☺️

We know the colour blue!

We are learning all about the colour red. We can sort objects into red and not red and also looked for red items at home for show and tell.

We are having great fun with all our new friends in P.1 🙂
