Monday 25th February 2019
Thank You for helping us reach our 1st goal!
£2075 has now been donated by parents to pay for essential school resources.
Friday 15th February 2019
We are overwhelmed by the response to the Voluntary Contribution.
To date £1905 has been donated.
Can you help us to get to £2000?
Friday 8th February 2019
Thank you to all our volunteers buying and serving tea, coffee and biscuits.
We hope all our P7s and their families had a very good day.
Most of the money raised at the school Christmas fayre is being spent on much needed new textbooks for the P3s and P4s.
We hope they will last for many years and we will see our children receiving a lot less photocopies.
Below are some very happy P4s with the books that are starting to arrive in school in February 2019.
Thank You to everyone who supported the Christmas Fayre and Ballot
You all raised

& A Wonderful & Healthy 2019
Here are some of the wonderful resources that have been purchased since September 2018 using PA funding .
Toys, Books and even a washing machine for sports kits and dressing up clothes.
None of this would be possible without your support of PA events.
In September 2018
£2400 of funds raised by Parents Association Events
was spent equally across all 16 classes in the school
on classroom resources

St. Colman's Parents' Association (the “PA”) is a parent-run, volunteer organization.
Our mission is to support the children in the school and build our community, by delivering a range of events that help to raise funds. All profit is re-invested into the school and spent on essential items at a school and classroom level.
Mr Baine (Principal) and Mr Crouch (Vice-Principal) attend the meetings and help to focus our activities and how the funds are allocated.
On this page you can find out about the PA Committee and get a sample of the fundraising events we plan and manage through each year.
The PA plays a critical role in supporting the school with funds for resources and supporting special school events.
We want to emphasise the importance of parent volunteers who are dedicated to fostering a strong, supportive community for the benefit of children, parents, and staff.
Contact any of the Committee if you wish to help out directly or indirectly.
You can support the school and PA with time, sponsorship, services or perhaps you may know of an important contact.
What we do
First of all we want to share a huge thank you to everyone who worked so hard to raise funds to date.
We appreciate every penny from everyone who donates money, effort, gifts and time to support our events. So well done to our parents and wider families, teachers and support staff, our local community and businesses. A special praise is shared with all of the children who attend our events and contribute greatly to make the events fun, fulfilling and safe!
We usually run a disco at Halloween and St Patrick's.
We sometimes run a tuck shop or serve water and juice.
We always arrange a DJ!
Most Christmases we run a Fayre and Santa is always the biggest attraction!
The Rickety Wheel is always very popular and loads of prizes are generously donated by parents and local businesses.
There will always be food and drink and plenty of activities for kids and adults.
PA funding is used to purchase tea, coffee and biscuits for families after confirmation. PA volunteers make and serve refreshments and clear up after. We also do an early morning run to the bakery for scones and pancakes and assist the photographers and arrange DVD. More helpers always welcomed even to set up or clear up!

Some years we organise a formal event for parents and staff in the evening.
These are always great fun and well attended and help to raise a great amount for the school.
Every June we endeavour to run a Summer Fete.
This is a great opportunity to get outside for bouncy castles and football.
We also have our ever popular rickety wheel, BBQ, Cake stall, Tattoos, face painting and visiting stall holders.
We help out at other events as and when requested by Mr Baine
e.g. Open Day for prospective P1s
Official Opening of the Outdoor Classroom
50th Anniversary Celebrations
Purchase trophies, certificates and transport.
