We had a wonderful day on Saturday, celebrating Caolan's and Rodrigo's First Holy Communion. They looked so handsome.
Our class received their very own “Free Refill, Clean The Sea” water bottle. These water bottles have been donated by Northern Ireland Water for every child that attends St Colmans Primary School. We would like to say a massive THANK YOU to NI Water! (More information on our school council page)

There Was An Owl
Please enjoy this short video of our class reciting a poem that we have been learning in class.
We would like to share our owl wall displays with you all. The children have worked very hard to decorate our classroom and class zone with beautiful and colourful pieces of art. Our class have researched several breeds of owls and wrote some of their favourite facts about them. Can you spot your child’s owl facts?
We are continuing to gather and store information using charts. This term we have looked at our birthdays to see which month had the highest or lowest amount of birthdays.
Today our class had a visit from the Waste Education Vehicle. We enjoyed a lesson on the importance of recycling. The children planted cress seeds in flower pots that they made using newspaper and recycled compost. We look forward to seeing them grow!!!
We have been looking at different sources of light in class. We have designed stars and lanterns . Can your child see their star or lantern?
Our class have been learning how to gather and store information. We created a bar chart based on the children’s eye colour in class.
We have worked hard to design some of our own Wassily Kandinsky paintings as we continue to explore and study different colours.
