Drama

The Drama Club

Last year the Drama club catered for Primary 5-Primary 7 boys and girls. Mrs Tandy's weekly classes proved to be very popular with regular attendances of over 30 children.

During the year the children discussed and selected their favourite Roald Dahl characters and performed a variety of scenes from various books during drama class and at an end of year performance for the whole school. The drama classes helped develop the children's dramatic skills as well as boosting the confidence and literacy skills of each child.

Our newly appointed teach, Miss Phoenix, will also be making her talent and experience available in promoting drama within the school.

Primary 7 children awarded a Certificate of Excellence

Last year we further developed our links with St Louise's Comprehensive College through Drama. Every Tuesday, Mrs Brenda Kelly, a Drama teacher from the College, took an afternoon class with the P7 pupils developing their skills and confidence through drama workshops. In June the Primary 7 children performed 'the Famine' at the College's Celebration of Specialist Status Day and were awarded a Certificate of Excellence through Specialism in recognition of our partnership with St Louise's College.
