This week our class have been learning about fractions. To do this we gave the children a number of cubes and then asked them to organise the cubes into two equal sets.
Our class took advantage of the beautiful weather to go on a frog hunt in our outdoor classroom. The children observed the pond to see if they could spot any frog spawn.

Our class decided to take advantage of the beautiful weather and help mend our outdoor classroom. The children helped plant, weed and water the flowers on the hill.
Our class were very lucky to have Mr. Webb give us a lesson on how to control drones using codes on an IPad. The children then programmed their own drone with instructions using the IPad's.

Today our class baked...and ate pancakes to celebrate pancake Tuesday!
The children worked hard to make a Valentine Card for someone special this Valentines Day!
Our class helped plant tulip and daffodil bulbs in October. We are all happy to see that they are growing quickly in our school polytunnel.
Today in class the children did an experiment to see if they could hear better with large, medium or smaller ears.
Our class are working very hard and getting into the Christmas spirit by decorating our room with their lovely decorations & hard work.
We are very happy to announce that our class won Mr. Baines lunch time trophy for our great behaviour in the lunch hall this week! Well Done Everyone!
Our class have been very busy focusing on symmetry. We have been practicing by using mirrors and a symmetry app on our class ipads. Here are some of the wonderful design the children have created.
We had some very spooky outfits for our Halloween disco today. All the children looked fantastic!
Today the children focused on learning about the days of the week and the order that they go in.
As part of our World Around Us syllabus we are learning about Autumn. The children used magnifying glasses to study some Horsechestnut leaves and conkers.
Some of the pupils from our class visited our outdoor classroom to look at the aftermath of Hurricane Ophelia.
In Class we are continuing to learn about animals. Today we had a visit from the Zoo to discuss the difference between vertebrates and invertebrates in our outdoor classroom. The children had a great time learning about the animals and being able to handle some of them.
