P 2 Mrs Robinson

We are finishing our topic 'Houses and Homes' in Primary 2 and we carried out a Survey around Lambeg. We looked at lots of different buildings along our way, including detached, semi-detached, terrace houses, bungalows, apartments, shops and Churches ! We noticed there were lots of detached bungalows in just one street. We found where Dan lives too. Unfortunately there was no one in to have a cup of tea with! Maybe next time Dan!

We are so lucky to welcome 'Science Starz' into our  P2 classroom. Over the next 10 weeks we will be using experiments, games, songs and puppet shows to learn all about science. Each week we will become scientists wearing our very own white lab coat!

This week in Science Starz we used magnifying glasses to

look closely at all the parts of the flower. We can name all the parts of the flower. We had to take the petals of carefully and we made perfume!

It was great fun!

Today we were learning all about solids and liquids! It was great fun investigating in our polytunnel!

We even got messy hands when the solid turned back into a slimy liquid.

Every Tuesday we are very lucky to have past pupil Cara Kennedy come into our class in the afternoon to help us. She is on work experience. We are very proud of her recent achievement. She was awarded

'Inspirational Youth of the West award 2017'. She is a basketball coach for a local team where she helps primary school children develop their many skills. Congratulations Cara! We are very proud of you!
