Every person who sent in a poster will receive the exclusive StColman's Lambeg pencil! We also have special prizes for the class winners and a cinema voucher for the overall winner. We will keep our fingers crossed for you all.

EXCITING NEWS - We have signed Mr Davey for a regular slot on our school website.

We all know he is a telented musician but he is also a master of jokes. His section will be called Patrick's Punchlines.

COMPETITION - Congratulations to last week's winner Cara Kennedy. She was presented her prize by John Johnston.

What's happening this weekend?

You better watch out, you better not shout, Santa Claus is coming to Down!

Everyone is preparing for the forthcoming Christmas season and nowhere is more in tune with its festive preparation than Downpatrick, as it makes way for the annual Christkindl Festival, which will run from Thursday 1 December to Saturday 24 December 2011.

As children eagerly count down the days to Christmas Eve, Downpatrick is preparing for a visit from Santa on Thursday 1 December for the Christmas lights switch-on, which will take place in the newly completed St Patrick's Square from 6.30pm. Come along early to meet BBC Radio Ulster's Alan Simpson, as he mingles with shoppers. St Patrick's Square will come alive with Narnia characters as some of the UK and Ireland's leading stilt performers weave through the crowds.

This year's Holywood Christmas Switch On, taking place on Saturday, 26th November

It will include some very special guests, all the way from Lapland - Santa and his reindeer! Santa and his furry friends will be in The Town Centre from 2pm to say hello to everyone and spread some Christmas cheer and if you haven't already posted your letter bring it along and give it to Santa when you meet him.

Santa's Postbox
Santa's Postbox is open in the grounds of City Hall from 19 November - 18 December. So local children can make sure they get their lists to Father Christmas in plenty of time for the big day!

Every child who sends a letter will receive a personal response from the big man himself!

After the vote for our Film of the week the winning film was Arthur Christmas.

Arthur Christmas

Review;
An Aardman production for Sony Pictures Animation, at last reveals the incredible, never-before seen answer to every child's question: 'So how does Santa deliver all those presents in one night?'

The answer: Santa's exhilarating, ultra-high-tech operation hidden beneath the North Pole. But at the heart of the film is a story with the ingredients of a Christmas classic - a family in a state of comic dysfunction and an unlikely hero, Arthur, with an urgent mission that must be completed before Christmas morning dawns.
