Hallowe'en Break: School will be closed from Monday 31st October to Friday 4th November. School will return on Monday 7th November. We wish you all a happy and safe Hallowe'en Break.

Hallowe'en Break.
School will be closed on Monday 31st October to Friday 4th November (inclusive) This break includes 2 staff training days on Thursday 3rd and Friday 4th November. School will reopen as normal on Monday 7th November.

Open Night:
Monday 28th November at 6.00pm. If you have a child that is starting Primary 1 next September or you know of someone who does, please contact the school office to register for an invitation to our Open Night.

P1 DELTA Course:
The P1 DELTA course will continue on Wednesday 9th November from 4-6pm. All P1 parents are encouraged to take part in this worth while course.

P7 Extra Tuition Classes:
Classes for P7 pupils taking part in the Transfer Tests will continue on Monday 7th and Tuesday 8th November. Mrs McGrath's class every Monday and Mrs Toland's class every Tuesday from 3-4pm.

Parents' Association Meeting:
the next meeting will take place on Wednesday 9th November at 7.00pm in the Parish Hall. Everyone welcome.

PA Quiz night:
Saturday 12th November 7.30pm for an 8pm start Bring your bottle If you can't make up a team come along and join another Everyone welcome Pay at the door - £5 per head

Time Out Project Committee Meeting:
the next committee meeting will take place on Tuesday 8th November at 7.00pm in the Beechlawn Hotel.

Christmas Bazaar: Thursday 1st December
Parent/Teacher meeting Day: Thursday 8th December 2011
First Holy Communion Date: Saturday 26th May 2012
After School Clubs:
Drama: class every Monday from 3-4pm in the Mini Cinema
French Club: classes will start on Wednesday 9th November from 3-4pm in the school library.
Rosary club: every Tuesday from 3-3.30pm in the Oratory
Irish Dancing: every Thursday from 2-3pm and 3-4pm
School choir and traditional group -every Thursday in the assembly hall from 3-4pm. New members are welcome.

Fit 'n' Fun Gymnastix: The second group will begin on Friday 11th November.

Sporting Notices:
Soccer/ Gaelic:No Training on Monday 7th November
Hurling: training on Tuesdays from 3-4pm for P5/6/7 on the pitch - bring trainers. .
Girls Gaelic: Training every Friday from 3-4pm on the pitch - please bring warm clothing
Netball: Netball will return on Wednesday 9th November.
JUDO: classes will return on Friday 11th November.

FRUITY FRIDAYS.
This week on 'Fruity Fridays'...........ORANGES. Every Wednesday the children pick their choice of fruit and give their 25p to their teacher, then on Friday breaktime their fruit is delivered to their classroom. This is a great initiative and we encourage all children to take part.

Week beginning Monday 7th November-£2.20 (£11 for the week)
Just to remind parents that dinner money must be paid on a Monday using the school dinner money envelopes.

fish fingers or chicken casserole with baked beans, garden peas & creamed potatoes creamed rice & pears
Tuesday
pork rib in a bap or omelette with choice of filling, steamed broccoli, homemade potato wedges/chips yoghurt & fruit
Wednesday
roast pork & apple sauce with carrot & parsnip, creamed & dry roast potatoes or pasta bakeIce cream & chocolate sauce & glass of milk
Thursday
chicken curry & rice with pitta bread or baked cod, peas & sweetcorn homemade flakemeal biscuit & fruit & milkshake
Friday
savoury mince with mixed veg creamed potatoes or filled wrap & choice of filling with baked potato jam sponge & custard

And Finally..... Congratulations to our P6/7 netball team who won their match yesterday against Moira. They won by 7 points to 2. All the girls played brilliantly - well done girls.
