Fusion Theatre Needs Your Help!!
Fusion Theatre are travelling to Buxton in England in July to represent Northern Ireland in the youth section of a very prestigious Gilbert & Sullivan festival. Unfortunately however, they were unsuccessful in obtaining a large grant to help with the travel costs for this event. So we are appealing to the local community to help us with our latest fundraising event. Fusion are collecting old clothes which we can exchange for some much needed funds. Mr McVeigh has very generously agreed for us to use St Colman's as a collection point. You can donate shoes, belts, clothes, sheets and duvet covers (but not duvets) in any condition. So please, go through your wardrobes, fill a few black bags, and donate them to Fusion! Donations must be in black bags and left at reception.

Trocaire Fundraising:
our collection for charities during lent was £3940. Approximately £3000 came from the 'Smarties Challenge' and £940 came from donations, bun sales and ballots. From the total raised we donated £500 to Clonard's Haiti/Trocaire appeal and £100 toward the Suas Volunteer appeal organised by Mrs McClements, total of £303.64 was raised by pupils from P1-P7 on a non uniform day. The money raised will go towards building a toilet block for a primary school in the slums of Mombassa. The balance of £3340 was donated to Trocaire. A huge big thank you to everyone who helped in our fundraising for Haiti/Trocaire.
And Finally...... congratulations to all our Primary 4 children who received the Sacrament of First Holy Communion last Saturday. It was a beautiful service and the children were a credit to their parents and families. Thank you to Fr McGrady, to all the teachers and classroom assistants who helped prepare the children for the sacrament, to Mrs McClements and her choir/orchestra for the beautiful music and to the Parents' Association for providing the communion breakfast.
