P7 extra tuition classes continue on Monday for Mrs McGrath's class and Tuesday for Mrs Tolands class from 3-4pm
Breakfast Club:
St Colman's Breakfast club opens at 8.00am (doors do not open until then). Children can come in and order their breakfast for £1, the last serving is 8.30am. Choices range from toast, fruit, cereal, milk juice and yoghurts. Mr Burns supervises the club and brings the children to the playground when the breakfast club finishes at 8.45am
Lisburn buses:
The express bus that leaves the old school at 8.25am each morning will now also be collecting children at the Killeaton, Rose Garden and Dunmurry Lane stops. This is due to Betty's bus being full to capacity by the time it arrives at these stops. Betty's bus will not stop once it is full. Please ensure you are the bus stop on time.
P7 Extra Tuition Classes:
Classes for P7 pupils taking part in the Transfer Tests will continue on Monday and Tuesday. Mrs McGrath's class every Monday and Mrs Toland's class every Tuesday from 3-4pm. Children must be collected on time by a parent.
Do This In Memory -
Parish of Derriaghy : There will be an information evening for parents and guardians of P4 children who are making their First Holy Communion in May 2012, about the Do This In Memory programme. It will take place on Tuesday 27 September 2011 at 7.00pm in St Colman's Church.
Parents Association Meeting:
Wednesday 28th September at 7.00pm in the school hall. All those parents who signed up to be volunteers and Committee members must attend. We especially encourage all our new parents to come along to the meeting - it is a great opportunity to meet other parents and see how you can help fundraise for your child's school.

Hallowe'en Break: School closed Monday 31st October to Friday 4th November (inclusive). This break includes 2 staff training days on Thursday 3rd November and Friday 4th November.
After School Clubs:
Irish Dancing: every Thursday from 2-3pm and 3-4pm
Rosary club: starts on Tuesday 13th from 3-3.30pm in the Oratory
Drama:Every Monday from 3-4pm in the Mini Cinema.
Fit 'n' Fun Gymnastix: Every Friday from 3-4pm in the Sports Hall (First group only until Halloween)
School choir and traditional group - starts Thursday 15th at 3.00pm.
French Club: Due to lack of numbers we are at risk of loosing this class - if you are interested in joining, please contact the school office by Monday.
Sporting Notices:
Gaelic: training will now be every Monday until Halloween. Training this week for P5/6/7 only.
Hurling: will start soon. Date to be confirmed with Coach.
Netball: training will return on Wednesday 14th from 3-4pm. We would encourage more P4 girls to sign up. Contact Mrs Robinson or Mrs Monaghan by Wednesday 21st if you are interested.
JUDO: classes every Friday from 3-4pm.
FRUITY FRIDAYS.
This week on 'Fruity Fridays'.........ORANGES. Every Wednesday the children pick their choice of fruit and give their 25p to their teacher, then on Friday breaktime their fruit is delivered to their classroom. This is a great initiative and we encourage all children to take part.
School Meals: Week beginning Monday 19th September -£2.20 (£11 for the week)
Just to remind parents that dinner money must be paid on a Monday, using the school dinner money envelopes.

cottage pie or baked fish fingers with baby boiled potatoes & steamed broccoli fruit crumble & ice cream with glass of milk

roast port & apple sauce with dry roast potatoes & carrots baked chocolate sponge & custard
Thursday
chicken curry & rice or hot ham & cheese baguette or ham baguette with rice, salad & coleslaw flakemeal biscuit & fruit pieces with milk
Friday
beef lasagne or hot filled pita pocket with mini potato waffles & baked beans with peas & corn fruit jelly & fruit/yoghurt
