Here is Mr Kernan helping his cousins when the Armagh team came to our school to practice for their game against Monaghan. (John)

The Armagh players came to visit our school a few weeks ago. Mr Kernan helped his cousins but I reckon he should have played that day!
Congratulations to all the Primary 4 children who completed their First Communion Saturday. They were all brilliant and we were all very proud of them.

Homework
No more homework until Primary 5 but we will continue to read as much as possible and to revise our times tables.
Would you like to try some of these tasks we did for Homework a few weeks ago?
Task 1 - Literacy
We are learning about apostroophes and contractions. Try the game below;
Click here to play the Apostrophe game
Try part 1 (apostrophes to shorten words)
You can play it with a partner. Try it with no clock first and then you can try is on slow and if you are really good give medium a go.
Task 2 - Numeracy - Try these challenges for your 3 times tables
(a) Table Montain 1 player challenge
If you have a partner to play with you can also try the 2 player challenge
(b) Table Mountain 2 player challenge
You can now try the (c) 1 minute challenge
Try and get at least 5 correct.
If you have completed all of these why not try the mountain cahllenge and beat the clock for some of your other tables. youc acan choose to try them for the 1,2,5, or 10 times tables.
Good Luck!
World Cup 2010
We loved learning about this topic. We had a world Cup day last Friday. I was studying South Africa. It's capital city is Cape Town. They speak lots of languages. My county is probably the most popular one because the World Cup is being held in South Africa. Erin learned all bout Chile. She says the capital is Santiago. (By Paula)
