Time Out Project
St.Colman's Time Out Project is based within our school building and provides after school care for our children from 2 O'clock until five O'clock.
The Time out club at present has six qualified staff and caters for twenty four children from two until three o` clock and twenty four children from three until five O'clock.
The facility provides a healthy snack for your child and provides stimulating activities in a relaxed, caring environment. They have a wide range of toys and activities to keep your child entertained.
Children are involved in co-operative games, role play, sand and water play, ICT activities. They enjoy beautiful art/craft activities and produce seasonal displays and crafts to take home. In Spring and Summer much our time is spent outside using the school sports facilities and playing fields.
In addition staff organise visitors to the project to educate and entertain. We have had the Emergency Services, Animal Sanctuary workers with animals which the children could feel and stroke. Recently we have also had a magician and balloon sculptor to demonstrate his tricks. As a treat we occasionally use the cinema within the school to watch a movie.
Staff at the facility are professional and caring. They are patient and supportive of the children. They constantly seek new ideas to enrich the experience of the children and form close relationships with them. It provides an excellent facility for all the children.
