Helping Our Community

In St Colman's we are always trying to help our local community. We are always trying to help our local community. Last year we helped St Vincent de Paul, Trócaire, Make a Wish Foundation aswell as participating in the Third World Run.

St Colman's Primary School and our Christmas Hamper Appeal

At Christmas time our children and parents once again made a terrific effort to collect food for Christmas hampers. We were delighted to be able to donate over 30 hampers to St Vincent de Paul who distribute the hampers to the needy in the parish at Christmas time.

Raising money for Trócaire during Lent

Every Lent we raise several thousands of pounds for Trocaire and this year we also made a donation to Fr Michael Murtagh who was sending funds to the Redemptorist Community who were helping the people of Haiti.

Third World Run - guess how many days to go?

Click here to find out and to see all the latest information about the run this year. We are all very proud of the children and staff who have supported this worthwhile event each year.

Make A Wish Foundation

Last June Mr Kernan organised for an Ice Cream van to come to our school to help rest money for the Make A Wish Foundaion. We were delighted to raise over £300 on the day. Gary, the ice cream man, said he loved serving ice cream to all the children. even the teachers and classroom assistants ate them too!

Ice Cream Fundraiser

Our Parents Association make a very significant contribution to our school. They always organise lots of fun events. All their hard work helps to raise thousands of pounds for our school funds.
